Alhamdulillah. Jazah kallah khairun Abdur-Raheem Green for doing this, I didn't know you had put my site on yours. I would like to thank you very much for this.
Secondly, I would like to really thank Yahya for your comments.
Mashallah, you have really hit the nail on the head, it's very satisfying when a person understands what I'm doing. I didn't want the design to be too clever or too much of a slogan.
Please let as many people know about my site as you can! Thank you.

Abdur-Raheem, I meant to say thank you to Permalink instead of Yahya, can you amend that on the first message I wrote. Jazah kallah khairun.
Asif.

Sorry I did mean Yahya after all! Whoever made those comments about the shirt being 'straight to the point', that's who I want to thank. Jazah kallah khairun.
Asif.
ARG comment:
Don't worry Asif...we all love love you, may Allah increase you in goodness.
By the way some of us need XXL, not 'cause we're fat or anything ;) but like baggy is good innit? any chance of that!
Posted by: Asif | Tuesday, 09 May 2006 at 18:14
Alhamdulillah, I think you're right.
I've already worn the shirt at work hehe. Without trying to stand out, many people did stare at it.
I wear the large size and it fits fairly loosely, but I think the extra large size for me would be even better. So, I agree with what your saying.
I will definitely look into getting XXL sizes done as things progress, inshallah.
I prefer to wear things baggy anyway, but I hope many of us can aim to be the minority in this country, by not being overweight :)))

asalamualakum wa rahmatulahi wa barakatu
hi bro Asif! im glad u saw my comments! may Allah SWT bless u n make ur work fruitful! in my opinion, aside from being cooool, these t-shirts also create a soft image of islam 2 non-muslims. i myself am a revert (u may get me AR, but i think ul hav viewd this as the norm with ur egyption 'roots'), and whilst funny (not the 'hey lets all smile n feel fuzzy inside' funny, the 'get away from my kids' kinda funny) those bearded men in dresses were simply wierd. ur t-shirt will inshallah give non-muslims somethin 2 relate 2. it may seem like ive given this 2 much thought, but 'children of the west' get a buzz off t-shirts! now, inshallah, we can make dawa (which it kinda is if u think about it), and look gr8 at the same time! jezakullahu khyran bro, alhamdullilah! oh ye, well said AR, we all love u Asif, may Allah SWT grant me the chance 2 show u how much in jannah, inshallah!

Alhamdulillah, I appreciate your comments Yahya.
I agree with you, I think the shirt looks fantastic. All credit belongs to Allah (SWT) alone for that.
Mashallah, I think you're right, you can look good and give dawah at the same time.
The other thing for me is my identity is Muslim, first and foremost, so I would only feel totally comfortable wearing a shirt like this, as opposed to a Pakistan shirt for example.
Another factor is I hope any Muslim who wants to practice Islam more fully, could begin that process, by feeling proud to be Muslim first of all, I think the shirt could aid that and they could then perhaps discover Islam through the links on the website.
Or on the other hand, they can discover Islam through the links on the site anyway, regardless of whether they want a shirt.
But I remember when I began to learn about Islam, little things contributed to that. The film about Malcolm X came out and I felt proud of him, because he was a Muslim and I bought a shirt and cap with X on it.
I love you my brothers for the sake of Allah (SWT) alone. I wish every Muslim had the enthusiasm and positive attitude you've shown.
I think we all need need to be much more positive about things.
Jazah kallah khairun. Thank you Yahya.

ARG comment:
Actually I purposly am restricting too many links, alo I don't visit too many sites on a regular basis.

Jazah kallah khairun Yahya. Thank you for everything you've said. I hope we all enter Jannah, inshallah.
I'm sure we can meet up sometime in the near future, inshallah.
Alhamdulillah, I rarely get excited but all of this does excite me!
I thought very carefully about the links I put onto the site. Alhamdulillah, all of those sites are trustworthy and based on the Qur'an and Sunnah.
I am really glad to have put the link on my site, which has the entire biography of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), it's called 'the sealed nectar'.
I read all of that book online. In my opinion, after the Qur'an and Hadith, this book is really important to read, it had a major impact on me. It made my Eemaan stronger than it ever had been before and I felt confident enough to practice Islam, without compromising all the time, fearing what people would say.
After all, Muslims must fear Allah (SWT) alone. Reading the sealed nectar, makes you feel like you were with the Prophet (SAW) during his life. You get a sense of what his life was like.
And you begin to realise to practice Islam correctly will entail hardship. I can honestly say I shed many tears reading that book and it increased my love for our Prophet (SAW). It also made me realise Muslims must never be on the defensive. They should always be proud to be of the best Ummah ever!
The 'Ideal Muslim' book is also a must read because I learned about things which as a Muslim I never previously knew, how your character is very important.
May Allah have mercy on the whole Muslim Ummah and answer all of our dua's, Ameen.
