The Prophet Muhammad was once asked : "What actions are most excellent?" He replied, "To gladden the heart of human beings, to feed the hungry, to help the afflicted, to lighten the sorrow of the sorrowful, and to remove the sufferings of the injured."
Book 032, Number 6251:
Abu Huraira. reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: Do you know who is poor? They (the Companions of the Holy Prophet) said: A poor man amongst us is one who has neither dirham with him nor wealth. He (the Holy Prophet) said: The poor of my Umma would be he who would come on the Day of Resurrecton with prayers and fasts and Zakat but (he would find himself bankrupt on that day as he would have exhausted his funds of virtues) since he hurled abuses upon others, brought calumny against others and unlawfully consumed the wealth of others and shed the blood of others and beat others, and his virtues would be credited to the account of one (who suffered at his hand). And if his good deeds fall short to clear the account, then his sins would be entered in (his account) and he would be thrown in the Hell-Fire.
I would say the hadith that i have chosen is sharp, but since they are not my words, but the words of our Prophet (saws) it is to be clear. This hadith inclines to a lot that is seen in people today, and which is seen in a lot of the upper hand "so called" believers today, and from centuries before. The reason being for all of this is because of the lack of knowledge, and the lack of religion being implied and taught too. To add to that; one of the main reasons is ignorance, and ignorance will not be taken as an excuse on the Day of Judgment. Doing fara'id (obligatory) and then sinning continusly is of no acceptence. Having the knowledge and not implying it to oneself is of no benifit, and implying something on yourself without having the knowledge of it can be even worse. It is our duty, almost obligatory to spread the right knowlede of islam in the right form to the people who are ignorant, who think they are achieving paradise, but really the punishment is awaiting. My brothers and sisers it is opon us to change this world in a appropriate way, our generation must wakeup, and the rising is taking place slowly, but the whole change will never take place till we change ourselves first. If we remember Allah, Allah will remember us when we need him.
may Allah guide us all in every aspect, and make us a stronger ummah hand in hand, to make the differnce in this world.
ARG comment: Welcome to islamsgreen! May Allah reward you for that, and we look forward to more contibutions from you in the future.
