Most of you know by now, or at least I hope you do, about the importance of Dawa. Many moons ago there was a post on this blog about 101 ways to give dawa. This post was an off shoot of the dawa training course I used to give back in days before iERA. Part of the course was a workshop in which the various teams had to think of different and innovative ways to call to Allah's wonderful deen.
Well point six was connected to a passion of mine, mountain biking, which you also may have gathered if you have read my blog.
So how about combining the two. Dawa and your passion.
Well this is what I've come up with. A sponsered Mountain Bike Team to compete in events all the while spreading the word of Allah. Combine that with some rad riding, slick filming and a soundtrack with a message and here is what you've got. My son Hamza is way ahead of me now and might be looking at a future in the sport. Did the mountain biking team idea go through? How did it go?
ARG response: I do have intentions, but I fear they will come to little due to busy busy busy life! The bike team idea is certainly still there!
